Discuss an accomplishment or event, formal or informal, that marked your transition from childhood or adulthood within your culture, community, or family. When I was in 9th grade, I got offered an application for a Teen Entrepreneur Academy also known as TEA in Irvine California; People from all over the world had the chance to apply. If I was accepted, they would grant me $1,100 dollars to help me attend. Since I wanted to go into the business field, it was perfect for me because I would get the opportunity to dorm at Concordia University Irvine and take classes all day in which gave me knowledge as an entrepreneur allowing me to join a competition. We got a the opportunity to build our team depending on our ideas. Collaboration was a huge part of the academy as well as having innovative ideas. Building a business was complicated in the fact that you had to work with others and make sure it goes in the right direction. I received knowledge behind how to outline a business plan as well as marketing strategies and sales techniques. This program gave me a broad background on what I need to focus on and it also gave me a sense to how college life would be and what I would be dealing with once I attend. I would definitely say that that was the point where I transitioned into adulthood.
